This depends on the various activities of roads, sewerage, parks, for example. However, in the case of certain local authorities, for example Dublin Corporation, major contracts are centralised. | Key purchasers: Each of the Councils, the CPD and the Construction Service. The structure of purchasing within the Councils varies between being centralised and decentralised. Approximately 50 per cent of the Councils have Service Level Agreements with CPD for a variety of contracts. They may also award certain contracts directly. |
