Advertising Contracts
Authorities are required to comply with the principles of transparency and equal treatment by advertising forthcoming contracts in the media or OJEC as appropriate.
For sub-European threshold contracts, advertisements are placed regularly in the national and local newspapers as well as on the Irish Public Sector Procurement Portal. Public sector procurement opportunities currently being advertised in the OJEC, trade journals, the national and local papers are published on a daily basis to the site. In addition, the site also hosts opportunities uploaded directly by Awarding Authorities and in many cases the accompanying tender documents are available for download.
In Northern Ireland there are a number of commercial operations compiling tenders from the national papers and publishing them on their websites.
All EU contract notices published by Irish public authorities and utilities in the Official Journal are also published on these websites.
