Sub-Contracting
There are extensive opportunities for sub-contractors to get involved in procurement contracts.
The majority of contracts are in the works related fields. When tendering the main contractor may be asked to provide comprehensive details on the proposed sub-contractors.
Contractors will agree sub-contracting arrangements, in advance, with the contracting authority. In such cases the sub-contractor will perform his or her part of the Contract as if he were the Contractor.
If you are interested in becoming a sub-contractor you need to monitor contracts being awarded and research the main contractors who are likely to tender. You need to negotiate directly with them to be included as a sub-contractor.
