Currency
From 1st January 2000, the ‘Euro’ became the currency of twelve euro-zone countries:

In all Euro-zone countries, including Ireland, all businesses changed over to the Euro in 2002. Irish public bodies conduct their procurement ttransactions and other business, including accepting tender prices and paying suppliers in euro.
